Pairing Timeout

There are many factors that can go into a pairing timeout between your watch and your vehicle, but most often these occur because of:

Internet connection strength

The process occurs over BLE (Bluetooth-Low-Energy) between the watch and vehicle, and over the internet to the WatchMyRiv and Rivian servers.

Distance between watch and vehicle

Please make sure the watch is inside the vehicle while pairing

Outdated cache

If you still run into issues, please try restarting the perform a full restart of both the vehicle and the watch.

Rivian Vehicle:

1. Hold the left steering wheel button + hazards button for 15 seconds
2. Allow up to 30 minutes for complete restart

Apple Watch:

1. Hold right button for 5 seconds
2. Tap power button, slide to power off
3. Hold right button to restart
